Namib Region

Nestled between the open plains of the Namib and the striking mountain ranges of Tsaris and Nubib, Desert Homestead Lodge is situated in a landscape that constantly changes depending on the viewing direction. Particularly distinctive to the east are the steep escarpments of the Tsaris Mountains, clearly standing out from the surrounding terrain. To the north, the first dunes of Sossusvlei emerge, while to the south, the rugged Nubib Mountains structure the horizon.

The lodge is spacious and designed with elements of a ranch with African influences. Besides the pool and bar, the focus is on activities: guided hikes, nature drives, and especially horseback rides lead directly into the surrounding landscape, offering a unique perspective on the Namib. A guided full-day tour to the nearby Sossusvlei, Deadvlei, and the world-famous red dunes is offered daily by the lodge.
